iCloud is down: some users reporting outage on Mac, iPhone and iPad

A number of Twitter users on Monday evening are reporting that iCloud is inaccessible due to what appears to be downtime affecting select Mac and iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners. The outage appears to be ongoing in the United States and potentially other regions, although we have yet to determine how widescale the problem is.
